It seems as though some don’t understand the true definition of being a SUCCESSFUL entrepreneur. The idea of having the entrepreneur “spirit” is just a basic fundamental. It involves an extensive amount of planning and “easy-hard-work”.
Most businesses that fail are the result of a lack of planning and/or inefficiently planning. Planning “on paper” is always enforced, yet most tend to ignore this phase. It’s always best to outline a business plan and add as much information as you can onto paper.
I know that becoming self-employed causes thrill and anxiety, therefore wanting to begin your company NOW. Based on the type of business you’re establishing, you can multitask; start the business while working on the business plan. Therefore you can have the plan drawn out clearly, while applying all segments of the business plan completed thus far. From there you can modify various strategies, based upon test analysis. The business plan will not only help you in preparation and organization of your company, it will serve as an on-going guide (business plan should be modified frequently, based upon business performance).
Another segment in which some entrepreneurs fail to apply is the “easy-hard-work” method. This refers to applying yourself to your company and giving 110%. Most become self-employed to reduce work load and hours. You’ll say “YAY I’m self-employed, now it’s time to RELAX and MAKE MONEY at the SAME TIME”. Well, just wait a minute Paris Hilton!
In the beginning phases of your company, you’ll have to spend as much time and effort that you have into development. If not, there will be little-to–no growth, which will eventually lead to FAILURE (which is NOT in the vocabulary of an ENTREPRENUER).
Give it your all, and I guarantee you’ll see results. After all, if you ENJOY what you do the work should be quite EASY.
If all three concepts (entrepreneurial spirit, planning and easy-hard-work) are applied, you will have the basic tools for being a SUCCESSFUL ENTREPENUER.
